MAYOR & LOCAL CITY ADMINISTRATION WORKERS RETURN TO VUKOVAR

( Editorial: --> 7483 ) VUKOVAR, 27 Jan (Hina) - Workers from the Vukovar city administration together with the mayor Vladimir Stengel have returned to live in Vukovar. About 20 displaced people, employed by the Vukovar city administration on Monday moved into the Singles Hotel, a multi- storey building with bed-sits which the Croatian Government repaired so that displaced officials and management could have temporary accommodation. They will return to their homes once they are repaired, that is when those people who moved into their houses six years ago leave. Up until now the city administration workers have been commuting to work from Osijek and other places where they have been accommodated as displaced persons. (hina) jn mrb 271148 MET jan 98
