TOVARNIK, 26 Jan (Hina) - Experts from the Croatian government
Commission for Missing and Imprisoned Persons are unearthing a mass
grave at the Catholic cemetery in Tovarnik, eastern Slavonia.
The grave is believed to hold the bodies of at least 48 people killed
in 1991.
An additional seven to eight graves with some 15 to 20 bodies in them
have been discovered in the area of Tovarnik, the Commission's
representative Marko Milos said Monday.
The graves will be exhumed in the next several days, together with
the big mass grave at the Catholic cemetery from which 29 bodies
have been exhumed since the beginning of exhumation on 21 January.
Eleven of those 29 bodies have been identified, Milos said.
There is a possibility that that grave contains more than 50
bodies.
