ZAGREB, 19 Jan (Hina) - The Council for Strategic Decisions held a
session in Zagreb on Monday, under the chairmanship of Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman, the President's office said in a
statement.
The Council discussed a proposal on the construction of the highway
Zagreb-Bihac-Dubrovnik, with connections to Sarajevo and the
Croatian ports of Ploce and Split, in line with a trilateral
agreement signed in Dubrovnik on 11 July 1996.
It was agreed that talks with the U.S. company BECHTEL on the
construction of the section Bregana (Croatian-Slovene border) -
Zagreb - state border near Bihac should continue, and that other
sections of the highway which go through Bosnia-Herzegovina be
built in cooperation with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Council agreed that the construction of the tunnel Sveti Rok and
a section of the Lika highway would continue.
