ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina)- Following an analysis of the tariffs in
passenger and freight road transport, the Croatian Government and
road transport companies said they fully agreed that the
introduction of Value Added Tax should in no way affect tariffs in
road transport, said the Government's Communications Office on
Thursday.
Companies that recently raised their tariffs promised to reduce
them immediately. The transport companies welcomed the
introduction of VAT, stressing that it enabled them to reduce their
tariffs by 10 per cent.
