POLITICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATIONS START CONFERENCE IN RIJEKA

( Editorial: --> 3484 ) RIJEKA, 10 Jan (Hina) - The fourth regional conference of Central- European political science associations opened in Rijeka on Saturday. The conference is held under the auspices of the Croatian parliament Committee for Education, Science and Culture. Three areas are to be dealt with during the conference, entitled "New Democracies at the End of the Century" - foreign policy and European integration processes; development and consolidation of democratic institutions; and economic and social dimensions of democratisation and free market development. The conference is attended by renown political scientists and university professors from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.
