DEADLINE FOR WITHDRAWING MILITARY FROM BRCKO MET

SARAJEVO, Dec 31 (Hina) - The Command of the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday confirmed that Bosnian Federation and Republika Srpska armies had met the deadline for demilitarising the Brcko area (north Bosnia) which has been pronounced a separate district. The SFOR said the two entities' armies had fully implemented the instructions by SFOR commander on dismissing armed forces deployed in Brcko. The remaining four troops by Bosnian Serb military deployed in Brcko will not be dismissed, but will be deployed in an area set by the SFOR. Cooperation the two entities' armies had shown is an important example of their devotion to the peaceful solution of the demilitarisation of Brcko.
