ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - Croatian military ordinary Msgr. Juraj Jezerinac on Monday served a requiem for the first Croatian president and armed force supreme commander, the recently deceased Franjo Tudjman. Attending the requiem, which
was served at St. Mark's Church in Zagreb, were members of the Croatian army and police. Msgr. Jezerinac said in his sermon that with his work, the late President Tudjman "remains for Croatia's all-round history the embodiment of our people's centuries-long aspirations, wishes, and pursuit of the re-establishment of their independent and sovereign statehood." Franjo Tudjman.
Attending the requiem, which was served at St. Mark's Church in
Zagreb, were members of the Croatian army and police.
Msgr. Jezerinac said in his sermon that with his work, the late
President Tudjman "remains for Croatia's all-round history the

Speaking of events important for the Croatian Church and state,
Msgr. Jezerinac singled out President Tudjman's reception of the
Holy Father on his visits to Croatia in 1994 and 1998.
Also attending today's requiem were Defence Minister Pavao
Miljavac, Interior Minister Ivan Penic, and Croatian Veterans'
Minister Juraj Njavro.
