MINUTES ON VOTERS' COMMITTEE CAN BE OBTAINED AT POLLING STATIONS

ZAGREB, Dec 29 (Hina) - The Constitutional Court on Wednesday annulled an instruction from an amendment to the Memorandum on the Work of Voters' Committees in the upcoming elections for the Croatian Parliament's Lower House, according to which all authorised persons can obtain minutes on the work of a voters' committee only from an authorised electoral commission. The Court believes the instruction is contrary to the Election Law because it excludes the possibility of exercising rights immediately at a polling station. The Constitutional Court decision was adopted at today's session at the proposal of the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS), which refers to the text of the Amendment to the Memorandum on the Work of Electoral Committees providing that all authorised persons will be able to receive copies of minutes on the work of an electoral committee upon request after the minutes have been submitte
