PARIS PARIS, Dec 14 (Hina) - A requiem for late Croatian President Franjo Tudjman was held in Paris on Tuesday evening at the St. Cyril and Methodius' Church of the Croatian Catholic Mission to the French capital. At the end of the
service, Croatian Ambassador Marko Zaja held a brief commemorative speech, in which he stressed that President Tudjman's role as the founder of the independent Croatian state would never be forgotten. Last words were also said by Croatian World Congress secretary Vlatko Maric, who also conveyed the condolences extended by Jean-Marie Chenu, a former French ambassador in Zagreb. In attendance were hundreds of Croatian faithful, members of the Croatian Embassy in Paris, Croatia's Ambassador to the UNESCO Vesna Girardi-Jurkic, representatives of several foreign embassies in Paris, and several French officers who during the Croatian Homeland War served in various European Union and United Nations mis
