FEDERATION RTV TO PROTECT INTERESTS OF COMMON PEOPLE

SARAJEVO, Dec 14 (Hina) - The newly established Radio Television Council of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday held its first session, which was also attended by High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina Wolfgang Petritsch. In his introductory speech, Petritsch stressed that the establishment of the Federation Radio Television was of an extreme significance for the reorganisation of the overall radio- television system in Bosnia-Herzegovina, which would, in the future, be based on the existence of the two entities' radio televisions with the support of the strong central public radio television service at the state level. Petritsch said it was necessary that the RTV of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina act in line with the Dayton Agreement and constitutions of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina, adding it must not serve a political or national group. The High Representative demanded that the Council ensured the protection of interest of common people. Appointed first president of the council is Kemal Hrustanovic and his deputy is Slavo Kukic.
