WASHINGTON, Dec 12 (Hina) - Associations of American Croats and numerous individuals on Sunday extended condolences on the occasion of the passing of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman. The Croatian American Association (CAA) wrote in
its note that the man who had realised the dream of the Croatian people had passed away. The National Federation of Croats of America (NFCA) and the Croatian American Congress also issued special statements. The NFCA assessed that President Tudjman's death represented the end of an epic period in Croatian history. President Tudjman had been the key factor in the preservation of the Croatian state during the very difficult early years of this decade, it added.
