ZAGREB, Dec 8 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament President Vlatko Pavletic, who is the acting President of the Republic, on Wednesday requested an immediate and thorough investigation into reports saying his phones have been tapped.
Pavletic requested the investigation from Interior Minister Ivan Penic at a meeting held in Zagreb. He also asked that a report on the issue be submitted to him as soon as possible, the Sabor's Public Relations Office said in a statement. The last issue of 'Nacional' weekly reported that the offices of Pavletic's cabinet have been bugged and that the Service for the Protection of the Constitutional Order (SZUP) has been tapping his phone lines.
