Kostovic told reporters that the next doctor's statement would most
probably be issued tomorrow or the day after.
When asked whether he saw the President, Kostovic said that he
visited President every day, depending on whether President's
doctors allowed that. He said that President of the Croatian
National Sabor Vlatko Pavletic and Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa
also had an opportunity to see the President recently.
Kostovic did not agree with reporters' claim that doctors'
statements were sparse, and stressed that the statements described
President's general condition and not medical details such as the
number of leukocytes and similar. The statement described the
correct diagnosis and gave reasons why an operation was performed.
The statements included all complications and President's general
state, Kostovic stressed.
The president's team of doctors includes experts from all Zagreb
clinics, and medical care is on the best possible level, Kostovic
said, adding that great credits should be given to not only doctors
but also to other medical staff.
