HDZ: SEKS CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT OF SABOR, PAVLETIC FOR PREMIER

ZAGREB, Nov (Hina) - The ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Presidency at Friday's session said they believed in their victory at the upcoming elections, adding that the HDZ candidate for the president of the Croatian National Sabor House of Representatives and the Croatian National Sabor was Vladimir Seks, and the Prime Minister designate candidate was Nikica Valentic. HDZ Vice President Ivic Pasalic told reporters that the HDZ presidency on Friday adopted a document on Croatia's economic development, which is also the programme of HDZ's new Government, which will be announced to the public in the upcoming days. HDZ vice president Seks did not have an opponent, while for the Prime Minister designate there were another two candidates - director of the Croatian Bank of reconstruction and Development Anton Kovacev and Director of Croatia Airlines Ivan Misetic. Both decisions of the HDZ presidency were unanimously adopted, Ivic Pasalic said. HDZ Vice President Nikica Valentic said he was to propose to the HDZ Presidency candidates for crucial positions in the future government within several days. When asked whether the Government would include non-HDZ-members, Valentic said that candidates would be members of the HDZ, adding that he also counted on several current ministers. (hina) it mm
