ZAGREB, Nov 12 (Hina) - Croatia's leading pharmaceutical company, Pliva, on Friday said in a press release it had signed an agreement on the purchase of 66.67 percent of shares in Czech pharmaceutical company Lachem. The transaction,
which will be executed within 30 days via Pliva Krakow, is worth US$26.5 million. In line with Czech obligation standards, Pliva Krakow will expand the bid for tenders to other Lachem stockholders. It is estimated the sum for the taking of 100 percent of Lachem shares will total between US$32 million and US$33.5 million. Brno-based Lachem is one of the leading Czech pharmaceutical companies, dealing in the development, manufacturing, and selling of products, diagnostic preparations and substances.
