CEI SUMMIT TO DISCUSS COOPERATION WITH STABILITY PACT

PRAGUE, Nov 4 (Hina) - Prime ministers of sixteen member-countries of the Central European Initiative will convene in Prague on Friday to discuss possibilities of cooperation with the Stability Pact for the South-East of Europe, the situation in Kosovo and ways of consolidating CEI activities. The summit will also focus on a report by the CEI Troika, in the drafting of which Croatia cooperated, the situation in Moldova, a region of which wishes independence from the country. The Initiative will also discuss its organisation. Croatia will be represented at the summit by Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa and Foreign Minister Mate Granic. At the invitation of the Czech Republic as the chairing country of the CEI, Montenegrin Foreign Minister Branko Perovic will also attend the summit. The main goals of the CEI are strengthening cooperation among member countries, access to European associations and help in the process of transition of post - communist countries. The members of CEI are: Albania, Austria, Belorussia, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Ukraine.
