SPLIT SPLIT, Nov 3 (Hina) - Days of French culture commenced in the Croatian southern coastal city of Split on Wednesday evening with the opening of an exhibition entitled "Paris, the Seine, Bridges and People," and the performance of
Marguerite Duras' play "Vera Baxter" by the Split Croatian National Theatre (HNK). This event which will last until November 14 has been organised by the Croatian-French Society in Split, supported by the French Embassy in Zagreb. Sponsors are local authorities. The exhibition of photos taken in Paris has already been staged in several Croatian towns. "Vera Baxter" by Duras was premiered by the Split-based HNK during the last Split Summer Festival.
