should intensify extant cooperation between the two universities and related businessmen, and enable the exchange of students and young experts. The protocol was signed by the deputy rector at the Bari University of Polytechnics, Dino Borri, and the rector at the University of Split, Ivo Babic. Also present were Croatian and Italian businessmen, who later discussed concrete cooperation. Italy's consul in Split Marcello Apicella said Croatia and Italy
enjoyed "excellent relations", adding there was room for better
cooperation in economy. This can be achieved through closer
cooperation between the two countries chambers of commerce, he
