ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa and a delegation of the European Union Troika on Wednesday held a one-hour meeting on Croatia's cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal, the election law, and the election
date. It was announced that the Croatian Government would issue a statement about the meeting during the afternoon. Asked whether the EU delegation has handed the Croatian side a demarche, Foreign Minister Mate Granic, who also attended the meeting, said the demarche was an oral one, i.e. the EU delegation expressed concern about the topics discussed at the meeting. Granic quoted Matesa as saying a completely fair election was in the interest of both the European Union and Croatia.(hina) rml
