HRVATSKI LESKOVAC, Oct 25 (Hina) - Croatian President's envoy, Presidential Chief-of-Staff Ivica Kostovic, on Monday opened the works to the Zagreb-Karlovac gas pipeline. The Gas pipeline is 33 kilometres long and its completion is
planned by the start of next year. Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa stressed the three aspects of significance of the pipeline: strategic importance of connecting gas fields in the north Adriatic via Pula, Rijeka, Karlovac to Zagreb, ecological and developmental significance because it enables the exploitation of a cheaper and ecologically more acceptable fuel, and its usefulness for the residents of the areas through which the pipeline will pass.
