VUKOVAR, Oct 11 (Hina) - Teams of the Croatian government's Commission for Detained and Missing Persons on Monday resumed with exhumations of a well in the eastern town of Vukovar after a break of 40 days due to floods. According to
Commission president Ivan Grujic, who spoke to the press in Vukovar's Nova Ulica Street, the remains of ten persons, including women and children, have been exhumed from the well to date. It is expected the 25m-deep well contains more bodies of the victims of Serbia's aggression against Croatia of earlier this decade. Exhumation teams fear the well might fall in because it expands towards the bottom. Today, the remains of two persons were exhumed in Brsadin, a village near Vukovar. Their identity was established earlier and it is known they were killed in 1991. Trial exhumations are being carried out along the Danube river near the Vukovar suburb of Sotin.
