Anto Djapic on Tuesday responded to yesterday's open letter from
Croatian Journalists' Association (HND) president Jagoda Vukusic,
claiming that Vukusic, "inventing a threat, responds with a
threat."
Vukusic warned Djapic that "in the future, the HND will press
criminal charges for any verbal threat against reporters."
In his response, Djapic said that "at its (recent) party
convention, the HSP did not at all mention journalists, but spoke
about the editorial policies, the media, and the publishers who
vilify everything and everyone who is not loyal to their Bolshevist
views."
Djapic reiterated that "those who in the media call HSP members
fascists, racists, or Black Shirts, creating a lynching climate,
are enemies of the Croatian people and state, i.e. supporters of
(former Yugoslav secret service) UDBA who are just continuing their
dirty work."
"The HSP will not stand by and watch, but will use all democratic and
politically permissible means to prevent them, and of this all must
be aware," Djapic said.
