MARIBOR MARIBOR, Sept 19 (Hina) - At the end of a Mass in the Slovene city of Maribor on Sunday, Pope John Paul II addressed believers from neighbouring countries in their mother tongues, as he usually does. Addressing a few thousand
Croats who attended Sunday's Service in the outskirts of Maribor, the Holy Father said: I greet cordially pilgrims from neighbouring Croatia who have joined this Mass. Their presence offers me an occasion to mention innocent victims of wars and totalitarian regimes, particularly those thrown (at the end of WW II) in mass graves recently discovered near Maribor. May such dramatic events never again recur. God give a valuable gift of peace to Slovenia, Croatia and all countries in the whole world," said the Pontiff in Croatian.
