NEW YORK, Sept 15 (Hina) - At a session it held behind closed doors on Tuesday night, almost at midnight GMT, the U.N. Security Council heard a report by the former Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the
former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Louise Arbour. Arbour's closing report on the Prosecutor's Office's work to a lesser part speaks about the difficulties encountered in cooperation with some states, including Croatia. Diplomatic sources in New York said Arbour did not speak about the nature of problems between the Prosecutor's Office and Croatia nor did she suggest to the Council to take any measures regarding the matter. According to Hina's sources among the U.N. Security Council members, in continuation of the session, only one ambassador mentioned Croatia in his speech. He said the refusal of the Yugoslav authorities to cooperate with the ICTY could in no way be compared with occasional disagreeme

The debate at the Security Council regarding the letter by ICTY
President Gabrielle Kirk McDonald on Croatia's non-cooperation
