Ivnik decided to mark the eighth anniversary of the Croatian
Olympic Committee (HOO) this way.
Ivnik started out on August 10 cycling 250 kilometres from Rome to
the Italian coast from where he canoed 350 kilometres across the
Adriatic from the Italian coastal town of Porto San Giorgia to
Split. From this Croatian coastal town he ran 350 kilometres to
Zagreb in five stages, running 70 kilometres a day.
Besides his friends and relatives, Ivnik was greeted at the Zagreb
square by the HOO deputy president, Zdravko Hebel.
The Croatian Olympic Committee was founded on September 10, 1991.
