ZAGREB, Aug 9 (Hina) - Croatian swimmer Petra Banovic on Monday won the bronze medal in a 5,000-metre race at the 2nd World Military Games which are being held in Zagreb from August 8-17.
ZAGREB, Aug 9 (Hina) - Croatian swimmer Petra Banovic on Monday won
the bronze medal in a 5,000-metre race at the 2nd World Military

Banovic won the third place with a time of 1:04.09.75. Another
Croatian athlete, Slavica Ozretic, ended up fourth with a time of
1:05:53.44.
The gold medal went to China's Liang Zhang with a time of
1:03:07.74, whereas the silver went to another Chinese, Dan Zhang
(1:03:30.90).
In the men's 5,000-metre race the gold medal went to the winner of
the European swimming championships in Istanbul, Russia's Evgeniy
Bezruchenko (57:02.32). Italy's Luca Baldini won the silver with a
time of 57:05.44, while Russia's Alexei Akatiev won the bronze with
a time of 57:05.44.
