"The ministry is following the developments and according to available information there is no reason for alarm or panic. None of Croatian nationals have requested consular assistance," the ministry's spokesman Berislav Zivkovic told Hina on Tuesday.
He advised Croatian citizens to be kept informed about the situation in Britain and to comply with instructions and notices from local authorities about the riots that have been sweeping some areas of London and some other British cities for the last three nights.
After they took over control in the residential areas hit by unrest, the police reported they had arrested 334 people in east London and about a hundred in Birmingham. A wave of rioting and looting also hit Bristol and Liverpool.
