ZAGREB, Aug 12 (Hina) - Croatia's State Information Centre on Thursday morning reported a fire which broke out in the Kastel area along the central-southern coastline on Wednesday afternoon was under control, but still burning. Another fire, in the Trogir area, further south, has not been put under control yet, the centre reported, adding three canadair aircraft and helicopters had been sent to the location. The fire in the Kastel area has burned more than 300 hectares of pine-wood, bushes, grass, and farmland, and some 120 hectares of pine-wood, bushes, grass, and olive-groves in the Trogir area. Around 2 p.m. on Thursday, two fires broke out in the Kastel area north of the Jadranska highway; carried by north-eastern winds, they spread close to the highway, part of which was closed during the night hours, but reopened in the morning.
