SARAJEVO, July 21 (Hina) - Bosnian Presidency chairman Ante Jelavic on Wednesday held talks with the United States Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Richard Kauzlarich. The talks discussed the impending Stability Pact for Southeast
Europe summit, to be held in the Bosnian capital later this month,, and a work outline for three main regional tables, on security, democratisation and human rights, and economic issues. According to a statement from Jelavic's office, Jelavic said Bosnia will put forward its own regional incentives, primarily with regard to a new security concept for the region, the reduction of the armed force and budgetary items for military purposes, and advanced economic cooperation with countries in the region. Jelavic and Kauzlarich agreed the countries in the region must be the factors making initiations, thus confirming their commitment to actively participate in the work of the Stability Pact

on Wednesday held talks with the United States Ambassador to
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Richard Kauzlarich.
The talks discussed the impending Stability Pact for Southeast
Europe summit, to be held in the Bosnian capital later this month,,
and a work outline for three main regional tables, on security,
democratisation and human rights, and economic issues.
According to a statement from Jelavic's office, Jelavic said Bosnia
will put forward its own regional incentives, primarily with regard
to a new security concept for the region, the reduction of the armed
force and budgetary items for military purposes, and advanced
economic cooperation with countries in the region.
Jelavic and Kauzlarich agreed the countries in the region must be
the factors making initiations, thus confirming their commitment
to actively participate in the work of the Stability Pact for which
the U.S. offers full support in all segments.
The talks also touched upon the U.S. government-sponsored "Equip
and Train" programme, which will be reinstated, further
cooperation within the army of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim federation,
and the establishment of a new, joint security system within
Bosnia-Herzegovina on the state level.
