'CROATIAN MARKET OVERVIEW' SHOWS TRENDS ON CAPITAL MARKETS

ZAGREB, July 18 (Hina) - The total turnover of 274 million kuna (37 million US dollars) at the Zagreb Stock Exchange in the first half of this year made up just 69 percent of the entire turnover in the first half of 1998. Both the Zagreb Stock Exchange and the Varazdin Securities Market have been affected by the problem of low liquidity and a lack of interest of foreign investors, read a publication 'Croatian Market 1H 1999 Overview' presented by the I.C.F. firm on July 15. The publication gave business results of leading Croatian companies, whose share are quoted on the Croatian capital markets. It also presented privatisation investment funds (PIFs).
