OPATIJA/PULA, June 29 (Hina) - A total of 57,109 tourists are currently vacationing in Istra, Croatia's largest peninsula, in the northern Adriatic, which is 24 percent less than in the same period last year. The highest number of
tourists has been registered in Rovinj, 8,992, and in Porec, 6,724. On the Kvarner riviera, also in Croatia's northern Adriatic Sea, 35,986 tourists vacationed over the weekend, which is 25 percent less than in the same period last year. They were most numerous on the islands Cres, Losinj, Krk, and Rab. Foreign tourists, 30,209, accounted for 84 percent of the entire figure, the most numerous being Slovenes, followed by the Germans, Austrians, the Czech, Italians, and Slovaks.
