ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Monday received the former US defence secretary William Perry, who is visiting Croatia as mediator between Croatia and Slovenia regarding the determination of the sea
borderline between the two countries in the Piran bay. Attending the meeting were also the Croatian Government's Border Office chief, Vladimir Ibler, Assistant Foreign Minister Josip Paro and chief legal consultant at the Foreign Ministry, Ljerka Alajbeg. Granic reiterated Croatian stances regarding the sea border in the Piran Bay were based on the International Convention on the right of sea, with the need of finding an optimal solution to the interest of residents on both sides of the bay, and with the aim of the best management and protection of the Piran Bay as possible.(hina) lml jn
