POLICEMAN ON DUTY ATTACKED IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, June 12 (Hina) - A policeman on duty was attacked by two men at the intersection of Ljubljanska and Selska Roads in Zagreb at about 08.30 pm Friday. The name of the attacked policeman who is a member of crime police has not been disclosed. Attackers are Damir Dzeba, aged 30, and Rajko Momcilovic, aged 31. At the above-mentioned intersection, the policeman stopped a jeep with unknown licence plates from which Dzeba and Momcilovic got out. When he stopped them he did not know who they were. Dzeba and Momcilovic began beating the police officer and tried to bundle him off in the car but did not manage. The two took a radio station and wallet from him and they drove away by the jeep. The policeman suffered a concussion and was taken to the Casualty Hospital. Criminal charges will be preferred against Dzeba and Momcilovic for an assault against an official person, robbery and infliction of serious physical injuries. The two are to be taken to an investigating judge. Damir Dzeba became known to the public a few months ago when he "ploughed" flowers on the lawn in front of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
