ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - An international agency for business information and financial reliability, Dan and Bradstreet (D&B), granted Croatia the DB5b credit rating, the D&B representative for Croatia, Bonline, reported on Wednesday.
Croatia has had this credit rating during the past several months. This credit rating places Croatia on the ninth place among 24 countries in central and eastern Europe. Events in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia have an impact on business investments in Croatia, D&B representatives reported, adding that regardless of the Kosovo crisis, the Croatian economy was slowing down. According to estimates of the agency, the real gross national product (GNP) is expected to increase by 0.5 percent. The GNP in 1998 increased by one percent.
