HDZ YOUTH HOLDS ASSEMBLY ENTITLED "VICTORIOUS GENERATION"

ZAGREB, June 5 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Youth held an assembly in Zagreb Saturday, entitled "Victorious Generation", at which Croatian President and president of the ruling HDZ party, Franjo Tudjman, held a speech. Attending were about 4,000 HDZ Youth members from the country and abroad. The fate of the Croatian state and people is in our hands and we must never again let it go, the future of Croatia is ensured and we must maintain the results of the victorious generation and realise a spiritual and territorial integration of the Croatian people, Tudjman said in his speech. He stressed the HDZ Youth's key role in solving social problems, adding that, as he had in 1989 and 1990, today he still believed "we will be up to our historic tasks and ensure Croatia's freedom, independence and the future of the Croatian people". HDZ Youth national president Krunoslav Gasparic said President Tudjman was the only one who believed in the victorious generation. The HDZ Youth does not keep quiet about current issues, but is trying to find the best solutions for them. "Those who, in the past system, were able to solve problems did not have a vision, and are now trying to take away our memories," Gasparic said. (hina) lml
