PRAGUE/ZAGREB, May 31 (Hina) - Croatian Tourism Minister Ivan Herak on Monday spoke to some 100 Czech reporters and 80 touroperators in Prague as part of an intensified promotion of Croatia's tourist offer on foreign markets. After
the press conference, Herak told Hina he was very satisfied with the number of Czech reporters and touroperators who attended. He hoped some 500,000 Czech tourists could be expected to visit Croatia this summer, despite the negative effect of the Kosovo crisis. A total of 498,538 Czech tourists visited Croatia last year, 14 percent less than in 1997. They accounted for 3.5 million overnight stays, 15 percent less than in 1997.
