TIRANA, May 29 (Hina) - The Albanian news agency ATA quoted police sources as saying that 423 Kosovans arrived in the northern town of Kukes on Friday. Most of newly arrived refugees came from Suva Reka, Prizen and some of them were
in the Smrekovnica prison near Vucitrn. Two refugees, seriously injured from firearms by Serb forces, were immediately evacuated from Kukes by helicopter to a hospital in the Albanian capital of Tirana. So far, 420 000 ethnic Albanians have arrived in Kukes. Of them 335,000 refugees have been transported to other makeshift centres in Albania. The rest has remained either in the refugee camp in Kukes or in houses of their relatives in Kukes and Hasae, the ATA added.(hina) ms
