HPT UNION MEMBERS DISTRIBUTE LEAFLETS TO CROATIAN MP'S

ZAGREB, May 26 (Hina) - A delegation of the Croatian Union of Croatian Post and Telecommunications (HPT) Workers, led by its president Jadranko Vehar, on Wednesday distributed leaflets with amendments to the Government bill on the privatisation of the Croatian Telecommunications (HT), in front of the Croatian Sabor. The union members believe that the strategic investor should be allowed to buy 20 per cent of HT shares, instead of 25 per cent + 1 share, as proposed by the bill. The current and former HPT employees should be allowed to buy 15 per cent of shares, instead of five, as proposed by the Government. The union members also believe that Croatian war veterans and members of their families should be granted 10 per cent of shares without payment, instead of the Government's five per cent.
