OSIJEK AREA DE-MINED LAST YEAR OSIJEK, May 11 (Hina) - Of over 13 million square metres cleared of mines last year in Croatia, 1,438,591 square metres from which mines were removed, was in Osijek-Baranja County, the Sisak-based Centre
for Mine Clearance reported today. In this eastern county, mines were removed from the area of Paulin Dvor, from around houses and gardens in Tenja, Antunovac-Ernestinovo-Laslovo power transmission lines, the Osijek-Tenja gas pipe-line and a section of the Osijek-Sarvas gas pipe-line. This June the action should be taken on the 340,000 square metres which belong to the Saponia company. The job will cost 5,100,000 kuna (about 730 thousand dollars), and will be financed from the state budget. Centre for Mine Clearance reported today.

Dvor, from around houses and gardens in Tenja, Antunovac-
Ernestinovo-Laslovo power transmission lines, the Osijek-Tenja
gas pipe-line and a section of the Osijek-Sarvas gas pipe-line.

During 1999 the centre planned 21 projects in Osijek-Baranja County
the value of which is some 60 million kuna (8.5 million dollars). A
part of resources is to be earmarked from the state budget, whereas
the rest will be ensured by the World Bank, the companies - Croatian
Waters and Croatian Roads - and different donations.
