OSCE WISHES TO EXPEDITE ADOPTION OF ELECTORAL LAW IN BOSNIA

SARAJEVO, May 5 (Hina) - A draft lasting electoral law for Bosnia-Herzegovina could be completed by mid-July, spokeswoman for the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Tanya Domi, said in Sarajevo on Wednesday. Speaking at a news conference, Domi said the bill will be the result of the work of a special working group established at a state level which should complete its work with the cooperation of international organisations, but taking into consideration the suggestions of citizens which will be gathered via questionnaires. The draft law will be forwarded to the Parliament of Bosnia-Herzegovina for a discussion and adoption. The OSCE Mission will initiate a special information campaign about the content of the electoral law in which more than 30 newspapers and radio and television stations in Bosnia-Herzegovina will be included by the end of May, Domi said.
