announcing the opening the eleventh international business tourism fair at the Zagreb Fair for May 12. After a period when bookings for vacations in Croatia were cancelled due to the NATO operation in Yugoslavia, foreign markets are starting to take the interest in Croatia, Bulat said adding that the latest developments offer hope that the situation would improve. Bulat added that the HTZ would launch a television advertising campaign in Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina this June, since Croatia was expecting that most of this year's holiday-makers would come from the aforementioned countries. business tourism fair at the Zagreb Fair for May 12.
After a period when bookings for vacations in Croatia were
cancelled due to the NATO operation in Yugoslavia, foreign markets
are starting to take the interest in Croatia, Bulat said adding that
the latest developments offer hope that the situation would
improve.
Bulat added that the HTZ would launch a television advertising
campaign in Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech
Republic, Slovenia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina this June, since
Croatia was expecting that most of this year's holiday-makers would
come from the aforementioned countries.
Results in tourism are likely not to be as good as previously
planned three million dollars, due to the Kosovo crisis.
The eleventh international business tourism fair will last by May
15. It has been prepared under the auspices of th Tourism Ministry
in cooperation with the Croatian Tourist Association.
This year's event will attract 190 foreign and domestic
participants, but the number of exhibitors has dropped by 20
percent versus last year, due to the Kosovo crisis
The fifth international fair of wines, called "Vinovita", will be
held simultaneously.
