PLOCE PLOCE, Apr 30 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Premier Ljerka Mintas-Hodak on Friday opened an international airport in the southern Croatian port of Ploce. "As of today, Ploce is not in air-isolation from the rest of Croatia,"
Mintas-Hodak said, adding she was sure Ploce, the Neretva River valley, the islands, and Dubrovnik-Neretva County, as well as neighbouring Bosnia-Herzegovina will know how to draw benefit from the airport in which some US$15 million were invested. MP and chairman of the Ploce harbour administrative council Luka Bebic pointed out the international airport will significantly reduce the isolation of Dubrovnik-Neretva County from the rest of Croatia. According to airport director Zdenko Jelavic, Vrsar-based air company North Adria will establish regular Ploce-Zagreb flights next week, while connections with other destinations in the country will be established soon.(hina) ha
