ROME, April 30 (Hina) - Croatia is open to the world and we hope the world will open more to Croatia, the commander of the Croatian Navy, Admiral Vid Stipetic, said at the end of his five-day visit to Italy on Friday. According to
Stipetic, the visit, initiated by the commander of the Italian Navy, Admiral Umberto Guarnieri, deepened the cooperation between the two navies of the east and west coasts of the Adriatic. Visits and talks between the two admirals have become traditional and the two sides are planning to organise joint military exercises in the Adriatic, after the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the Croatian and Italian armed forces. Guarnieri pointed to the good relations between Italy and Croatia in all fields and concluded that Stipetic's visit would contribute to Croatia's approaching NATO.(hina) it/ha
