ZAGREB, April 28 (Hina) - The strike committee of NAMA, a Croatian chain of stores, continued their hunger strike on which they went on Tuesday. Yesterday, nine members of the strike committee chained themselves to the stairways in
front of the main offices of Privredna Banka Zagreb (PBZ), that used to be a majority owner of NAMA, as part of their action in which they demand the re-scheduling of the company's debt to the PBZ and the rehabilitation of NAMA. Following yesterday evening's intervention of police and firefighters, the nine strikers were moved to the pavement in front of the PBZ offices. Bank officials called policemen and firefighters to intervene. Protesters spent the night in offices of the Croatian Association of Trade Unions (HUS). Zagreb (PBZ), that used to be a majority owner of NAMA, as part of
their action in which they demand the re-scheduling of the
company's debt to the PBZ and the rehabilitation of NAMA.

They have said they will be on hunger strike until a contract is
signed on postponement of paying NAMA's debt to the PBZ and until a
decision is made on rehabilitation of the company.
