ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - The Croatian ice-cream and frozen food producer "Ledo", which is part of the Agrokor company, has completed the past financial year with a 20 per cent increase in pre-tax profits, amounting to US$4.6 million.
The factory's earnings last year amounted to just above US$60.28 million, which is 3.8 per cent less than in 1997, but the spending was also seven per cent lower, "Ledo" director Mislav Galic told reporters on Tuesday. The factory covers 76.29 per cent of the domestic frozen pastry market and its exports have increased by 54 per cent. At the beginning of April, the factory introduced a new quality system, in line with ISO 9001 requirements, with the aim of increasing the quality of its products.(hina) jn rml
