ZAGREB AS HUMANITARIAN ACTION FOR KOSOVO KIDS ZAGREB, April 23 (Hina) - Theatres in the Croatian capital in cooperation with the Albanian Catholic mission are organising a humanitarian action to raise funds for Kosovo children. During
the 24-30 April action called "Theatre Week", Zagreb theatres will offer eight favourite plays to the audience and all proceeds will be given to Kosovo kids. Ursa Raukar, an actress and the head of the action, told reporters on Friday that it would be also important that other Croatian artists initiate similar actions. Croatia has a harrowing and painful experience and knows very well how its children suffered in the war. Therefore we are aware how badly others need help, the actress Raukar stressed. On Wednesday, an exhibition of photos made in refugee camps in
Albania by photographer Sandra Vitaljic of a Croatian magazine
"Nacional" will be staged in Zagreb.
The humanitarian action was greeted by Dominik Krasnique, the
coordinator of the Caritas of the Albanian Catholic Mission in
Zagreb. He spoke of the plight of hundreds of thousands of refugees
in Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro.
Artists appealed on citizens to give financial means on the
Mission's giro account number 30104-672-1931-ZAP.
In addition, food, clothes, footwear and toys are being collected
for this purpose in Luje Naletilica Street 4 from 07.00 am to 03.00
pm every day.
