ZAGREB MUSICAL BIENNALE BEGINS ZAGREB, April 17 (Hina) - The 20th Musical Biennale opened in Zagreb on Friday evening by the premiere of the musical "Dom Bernarde Albe (Home of Bernarda Alba)" of Croatian composer Milko Keleman and by
the opera "Dvorac Modrobradog (The Castle of the Bluebearded) of Bela Bartok in the Croatian National Theatre (HNK). This international festival of the contemporary music, which will be held at nine venues in Zagreb, has drawn about 1,300 participants, a half of whom arrived from abroad. At the opening ceremony, on behalf of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic conferred a charter on the Zagreb Musical Biennale.
