ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - In the first two months this year 178,707 tourists were registered in Croatia, or seven percent less than in the same period last year, the Statistical Office reported on Friday. Of them, 63,572 were
foreigners, or five percent less than in January and February 1998. Most of foreigners were 9,380 guests from Italy with a decrease of 31 percent. In that period 7,614 tourists from Bosnia-Herzegovina (or 16 percent less) and 6,897 from Slovenia (or two percent more) visited Croatia. According to the Statistical Office, 510,882 room/nights were registered in the first two months 1999 or ten percent less than in January and February 1998. Foreign holiday-makers had 185,988 room/nights, or seven per cent less than in the same period last year.(hina) ms
