KAKANJ CROATS KAKANJ, Apr 13 (Hina) - Two officials of the central Bosnian municipality of Kakanj on Tuesday signed "The Kakanj Agreement" in the presence of the international mediator for Bosnia's two entities, Christian
Schwartz-Schilling. The agreement was signed by municipal head Kemal Brodlija and the chairman of the Kakanj Municipal Council, Marijan Maracic. The agreement calls for the immediate establishment of a group for cooperation with the department for the return of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) for Bosnia. The group will register the owners of repaired houses who have not returned, as well as persons who have returned to Kakanj but whose houses and flats are as yet unavailable. Brodlija has the obligation to visit Stolac, Drvar, and Capljina - towns with the largest number of displaced Croats from Kakanj. chairman of the Kakanj Municipal Council, Marijan Maracic.

A report will be submitted to Schwartz-Schilling by May 15, who will
then take the steps necessary to enable the return of more than
10,000 displaced Kakanj Croats.
Also attending the signing of the agreement were representatives of
the leading Bosnian Croat party - the Croatian Democratic Union of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, the OHR, the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe, the office of the federal ombudsmen, and
other organisations.
