THE HAGUE, April 13 (Hina) - The trial of a former Vice President of the Croat Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia, Dario Kordic, and a former commander of the Vitez brigade, Mario Cerkez, before The Hague Tribunal was on Tuesday held behind
closed doors. Discussed at the session were procedural questions, including the one on the testimony of protected witnesses for the prosecution. The trial of Kordic and Cerkez began on Monday, 18 months after their voluntary surrender. Prosecutor Geoffrey Nice presented the indictment against Kordic and Cerkez which charges them with the systematic expulsion of Muslims in the area of Herzeg-Bosnia in the period between late 1991 to March 1994 (Kordic), and in the areas of Busovaca, Novi Travnik and Vitez from April 1992 to August 1993 (Cerkez).
